What do you feel
1:43pm Dec 16. 2008

What do you feel when I’ not near
Is there a void inside

What do you feel when I am near
Released of the tears you cried

When the love gets heavy and deep
Is it the love you run from or keep

When there are things we can’t understand
Do you run away or extend your hand

Where do you run when you run away
Why do you always run back this way

Is it because there is meaning here
Something more that you fear

Afraid of the truth within
Afraid that the truth will win

Undercover and so alone
Surrounded by so many and yet unknown

Where does your heart tell you to be today
In the arms of the one that loves you anyway

Despite your insecurity and faults
Your shortcomings and verbal assaults

There is someone who cares despite it all
There is someone who will catch you when you fall

There is someone who wants you to win
There is someone who will be there through thick and thin

What do you feel when I’m not near
I feel less than when you are here.

What lives here

Created November 18, 2008

What lives here in my mind
All the things I find

I collect and I adore
And then I collect more

These things about my soul
The pieces that make me whole

The bits without time or space
The feelings that I chase

Deep inside me is where they survive
Burried deep, and very much alive

No one can take these things from me
But I give them away willingly

There is no truth like the one within
I can hear it by giving in

To the sweet serrenity of time
The result is so sublime

Everything is right right now
And someday I’ll know how

All the bits and pieces have come
And though I had lost some

They all made me whole
They all filled my soul

I will only ever be just a bit of dust called love
And that’s all I’ve ever been a part of

And just incase it wasn’t clear
Love is what lives here.
